    Building agentic harnesses

A model alone is not an agent. The harness around it decides which tools an agent may use, how it gets context, how it talks to other agents and when a human reviews. The Automation Group builds those harnesses pragmatically and production-ready.

    Build & Integration
    What a harness handles

    The structure around the model.

The harness is the layer that lets a model work safely and predictably inside your organisation: from tool use to logging.

    01N° 01

    Tools and actions

Which systems may the agent call, with which parameters and within which limits? Via MCP servers or custom connectors.

    02N° 02

    Context and memory

The right structured and unstructured data at the right moment, without noise or unnecessary tokens.

    03N° 03

    Agent collaboration

Agreements on how agents hand over tasks and call each other, for example with A2A protocols or an orchestrator.

    04N° 04

    Identity and control

Every agent its own identity and passport, with logging, evaluation and a human in the loop where it matters.

    Our approach

A graph where possible, a loop where needed.

    1. 01

      Process and limits

We describe the task, the decision points and where a human must confirm.

    2. 02

      Choose the architecture

A fixed graph, an agentic loop or a combination, depending on how predictable the process is.

    3. 03

      Build and connect

In your own environment, connected to your data, identity and monitoring.

    4. 04

      Evaluate and hand over

Test sets, observability and documentation, so your team can run the harness itself.

    Frequently asked questions

    Building agentic harnesses

What is the difference between an agent and a harness?+
The model provides the reasoning; the harness provides tools, context, rules and control. The Automation Group sees the harness as the part that decides whether an agent works reliably in production.
Do you build on a fixed framework?+
No. We choose per question, for example LangGraph, CrewAI, the OpenAI Agents SDK or Copilot Studio, often in combination.
How do agents communicate with each other?+
The Automation Group uses open standards such as MCP for tools and A2A-style agreements between agents, with each agent having its own identity so it stays traceable who did what.
